Clark City 10K and Manila Marathon Prep April Recap

I couldn’t let April slip by without writing something here. A lot has happened, and honestly, I got caught up in the rush of it all. Days blurred into weeks, and before I knew it, the blog sat quiet. I’m still hoping for the day when writing feels lighter, more natural, so I can show up here more often without overthinking every word.

April was packed. I’ve been deep in training for the Manila Marathon this June, trying to stay consistent and dial things in. I also joined the Clark City Marathon 10KM to test my pace and heart rate. It wasn’t perfect, but it gave me what I needed. So far, everything points in the right direction, and that’s a good feeling.

I also tried the Raw 30 Gel. It’s simple, no flavor, with caffeine, and surprisingly easy on the stomach. No issues on the first try, which is always a bit of a gamble with gels. I’ll share a more detailed breakdown soon once I’ve used it more in training.

On top of that, we climbed Mt. Ulap last April 12, 2026. It was one of those climbs that sticks with you, both physically and mentally. I’ll write a proper post about that experience soon, because it deserves more than just a quick mention here.
